More Mach2 Bimbles
First off, I have had an amazing response to people wanting the mounts. I have already contacted everyone in Europe and am just getting a price for airmail for those outside. I have asked people to pay in advance as I have said this is non-profit making and I don't want to be out of pocket. As soon as I have received payment I will send the parts; you know where I live if I don't!
I thought people would be interested in seeing how some Hayling Mach2 sailors have solved the forestay problem, where either the tang breaks off due to rust or the plate rips out. As you can see above, a hole has been drilled through the bow and a tube inserted. Then you insert a metal bar with a strop tied around it to which you attach the forestay. This is the neatest solution I have seen sofar and one that I am going to get done on my boat.
