UK Boats Arrive in Australia

I learnt from Rick tonight that the UK boats arrived in Sydney today and are making their way through customs as I write. Whilst Mike Lennon will be united with his beloved boat early next week, I am going to have to wait until 3rd January to see mine.

My family and I leave for Cairns on Friday and will be working our way down the East coast of Australia over the following 3 weeks. If technology allows, I will try and post a bit as we travel but I will keep it short and sweet. After all most people will want to read about the lead up to the Worlds not about some odd animal that we bumped into!

I am fairly certain that I won't be troubling the front of the fleet at the Worlds. I just hope I don't get eaten by sharks or stung to death by jellyfish. Never fear; I have my UK flag emblazoned stinger suit ready and waiting. What can possibly go wrong with this level of preparation?

  1. The only animal you are likely to bump into in Cairns or on your trip down the east coast is an Oprah fan...they're invading the place!
