Yes I Know it's Snowing in the UK...
I have now been in Australia for 10 days. The first 5 were spent up in the Daintree Rainforest. Which was very hot 30+deg and 93% humidity. But we saw crocodiles (big ones) and Cassowary birds (almost ran one over).
We then drove down to Townsville and chartered a yacht to sail around the Palm Islands for a few days. The picture above is of Yanks Jetty on Orpheus Island. It used to be a degaussing station for the American ships so they did not get blown up by mines when.travelling along the Queensland Coast. Nowadays it is a great place for snorkelling with tame fish coming up to you expecting to be fed.
Tomorrow we deliver the yacht back to Townsville and catch a plane to Sydney. The family are staying out until the 2nd January when I will be joining everyone at Belmont. See you there!
