Worlds Questionnaire

I have left the reporting of events to others who have been sailing today. I, on the other hand, helped Mike measure 10 sails which meant we had been paid some dosh for lunch in the right currency. Mike reckoned due to the current exchange rate this was the most money we had ever earnt.

We have been asked to fill in a Worlds Questionnaire. Some of the questions are worth repeating and I thought you might like to have a chance to answer them yourselves:
  • How much money have you spent on average each year on Moth Sailing in the past 3 years?
  • How many foiling tacks do you as a percentage in any one race?
  • How do you rate your physical fitness?
  • What do you think is your IQ? (Pick a number between 70 and 200) (hint: an average in the population has 100, genius 150, and 70 retard)
  • All things considered how happy are you? (0 totally unhappy 10 ecstatic)
  • Do you think Scott Babbage will finish 7th (yes/no/maybe)
  • I would like to remove my sail/identification from any results
Other questions involved how much we had spent attending the Worlds. The average between the three of us came out at £6k. This may explain why there are only 7 Brits here. We are hoping to recoup our costs in the Sailing Club which sports both a betting shop and a set of fruit machines. Weird.

Our flat is 150 yards from the club. Mike has yet to walk there and has driven/or been driven there every time. Ben Paton however, lives 4 kilometres away and has been running to and from the club every day. We have promised that we will run to the club at least once this championship just to show willing.

Tomorrow the Australian Nationals begins. We are pretty certain that an Australian will win it as they are going very fast and you cannot win it if you are a pom.

More tomorrow.
