Last time in the old boat

We have had an excellent weekend at Hayling. 5 Mach2s (Rick, Richard, Mike, me and a newbie called Jon Bennett), Matt Ponsford sailing Tom Offer's old Ninja, Cam Stewart sailing a Prowler, Neil Baker in Adam May's old Velociraptor and an Axiom 4.

I am quite sad about seeing the old ship go but the new one should be wending its way from China as we speak and be with me hopefully by Friday of this week. It has black tramps, a small rudder foil, a medium mast and a ride height adjuster from Sailing Bits. I have sold the KA MSL 10c that comes with it on and will be getting another Hyde 2B which I believe gives the power of a 13 and flattens off like a 10. One unique feature that  the top batten assumes shape and maintains the leach when the cunningham and kicker is let off.

I am selling the old boat to Cam Stewart, whose father is Ossie Stewart, a  1992 Soling Olympic bronze medallist. He had his first go in the boat today and looked great apart from the fact it was flying extremely high. This is due to the fact it is used to have 12kgs more in it. It will need the control rod shortening to give him some range for the ride height adjuster.

The new boat will feature my aluminium mounts and mast socket which have proved so successful. I have some more for sale if you need some. Email me at graham.simmonds at blueteq.com
